Post with a purpose: Using Facebook to promote

Facebook allows users to share and tag content, which are both perfect for Facebook

contests and challenges.

First, set SMART goals for your contest/challenge such as the

following:

  • Increased brand awareness

  • Increased business page following

  • Sales leads

  • More website traffic

Contests should be simple and sharable, and the prize should be worthwhile. If your goal is

increased brand awareness, consider partnering with an influencer or another business or

organization for the giveaway. This will spread your brand to a new audience.

Building a solid following on your Facebook business page isn’t the easiest thing to do. Make liking your Facebook page a requirement for entering the contest. For sales leads, require an email address to enter the contest and include a link to your website in

your social posts to drive more traffic to your website.

Create a Facebook Group for In-Depth Communications

Facebook groups are ideal for a particular product, service, and topics of interests. Benefits of Facebook groups include some of the following:

  • Allows users to stay informed on their own time

  • Updates arrive only when the sender chooses

  • Users can visit the group at their convenience

  • Helps build relationships

  • Helps connect your business/organization with the right audience

Remember to invite appropriate friends, colleagues, and influencers to your group. Facebook groups can be private or visible to the public
