Cardio B not only hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 100 chart, this money move marks the first single by a female (without the assistance of any other artist) to top the chart in nearly 20 years.
Lauryn Hill’s smash hit, “Doo Wop (That Thing") previously made the mark in 1998.
According to Billboard, Cardi is also the fifth female rapper to to ever lead the Hot 100 at all, and the first female soloist to to top the chart with a debit track (unaccompanied) since Megahan Trainor with “All About that Bass in 2014.
“Bodak Yellow” received 46. 4 million U.S. streams and 56, 000 downloads in the week ending Sept. 21.
