Michelle Obama's book to become best-selling memoir in history; 10M copies sold

Michelle Obama’s memoir is on its way to becoming the best-selling memoir in history.

“Becoming” has sold more than 10 million copies since its release in November.

The book was published by Bertelsmann’s Penguin Random House division. In a Reuters report, the CEO of Bertelsmann mentioned how successful the memoir has been for the company.

"That makes it our most notable creative success of last year," Bertelsmann CEO Thomas Rabe told a news conference, reporting a 2.8 percent gain in annual revenue at the 183-year-old publisher.

Former President Barack Obama is also signed with the same publisher to release his White House memoir. No date has been set for his book. Bertelsmann is optimistic that Barack Obama’s release will also be a best-seller.
