Rapper 21 Savage has been released from ICE custody.
The rapper, whose name is She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was released Tuesday following an expedited hearing. 21 is reportedly a U.K. national and is in the U.S. on an expired Visa.
He came to the U.S. legally in 2005.
According Kuck Baxter Immigration LLC, over the past nine days, 21 has been speaking with ICE to clarify his actual legal standing, and eligibility for bond.
He left the following message with his supporters:
"He says that while he wasn’t present at the Grammy Awards, he was there in spirit and is grateful for the support from around the world and is more than ever, ready to be with his loved ones and continue making music that brings people together."
