An elementary school in the Bay area will be named after the former first lady of the United States.
The school in Richmond, California will be the first school in the bay area to be named after Michelle Obama.
The school board unanimously voted to rename Wilson Elementary to Michelle Obama Elementary School.
The school was torn down and rebuilt. The remodeled Michelle Obama Elementary is set to open in the fall.
